Saga of a lucky fantasy football owner
For those of you that play fantasy football and follow it closely, you know how close some weeks results can be. Often times, a break here or a break there is the difference between winning and losting. I give you this little recap of how yours truly won his fantasy league matchup in week 2.
1) Donald driver catches a 1 yard touchdown – not terrible as it happens but still.
2) Colts are first and goal at the 1. Manning sneaks TWICE and comes up short twice. They review one and say he’s NOT in. Addai goes on 3rd down from the 1. They call TD. He is clearly NOT IN. They challenge – and refs decide it is a TD. Wow… Big break.
3) Denver / San Diego. We all know the drama there. Well, Eddie Royal and the Troops were the benefactor of the refs sucking. Cutler fumbles – they blow the wistle and call incomplete pass. SD recovers. Challenge. Reverse call and say it was indeed a fumble – but since the whistle blew – still Denver ball at the 10. This is with like 30 secs so the game should be over. Cutler fires a dart to the free agent of the year, Eddie Royal for a 7 pt. TD…
4) Denver goes for 2… Are you serious? Unheard of at home. They do and it goes to none other than – Eddie Royal… 2 more pts…
5) Deshawn Jackson showing his brains. This is classic. Jackson of the other team goes DEEEEEEP for a break away touchdown. My team is DONE. Oh wait, the moron dropped the ball (showboating) at the 1 yard line… Play was reviewed… Indeed – no TD… Oops… 6 pts lossed there…
So sometimes you feel very lucky when winning. You win some and you lose some but the first step to a championship is LUCK! 2-0 and moving on to week 3.
